I presoak for 1 minute in _distilled_ water. Develop with Rodinal and
_distilled_ water. Rinse in _distilled_ water, using 2 changes in one
minute. Fix with fixer made with _distilled_ water. Wash for 10 minutes in
tap water. I live in Oregon and we have great water quality but I still
used distilled water for IR processing. This has produced a consistent
result when using tap water produces inconsistent results, including
pinholes. I just have to assume that the levels of "additives" to tap
water varies from day-to-day or season-to-season. I have even started
using distilled water for TMax processing and I am having none of the
consistency problems I have previously encountered. At a $1/gallon for
distilled water it has been a cheap fix for frustrating problems.
