The red part of the spectrum appears to have a boost with this filter
but only because it decreases the other colours. Obviously it is
designed for colour transparency photography, when reds require
enhancement, not infrared. It is not like an ordinary absorption red
filter because the other colours are not changed so much as with just a
red filter. This quality is owing to its selective, reflective coating
the effect of which increases the red green colour ballance.
