I have tried the agitation techniques cited by Frank and by Cor in
recent times and manage to get the streaks based on sprocket holes...I have
reached a stage where I am about to give up...the film now a
monster....after using it for 30 years without any problems whatsoever the
last three years have been disastrous....
help !

sprocket patterns are an indicator of inadequate agitation. also check to
make sure your developer is thoroughly mixed, especially if you're doing
say D76 at 1:1 or 1:3 from a stock solution.
