Bulk loading questions

Probably a very basic question, but I didn't see any info on the homepages I
visited.  I have a Watson bulk film loader and planning to load HIE for the
first time.  Do I need to do the entire operation in complete darkness?
It's made to be used in daylight, but I'm not sure this is applies to IR.
