I'm with Jason on this one too. I've nto used stop bath for my films (35,
120 or 4x5) for a long time, but instead I use two water washes on the film
between the devloper and fix. Never a problem, and indeed, I was finding
that too strong a stop bath on some film, in some circumstacnes, can cause
problems.
But for paper, that's a different cookie altogether. I always use stop
bath, otherwise you would be replacing your fix every few prints.
