Re: stop bath

There was recently a long thread on the acid stop/water stop on
rec.photo.darkroom.  There Bill Troop argued that unless the stop bath
was *much* stronger than normal, development would not stop
significantly more quickly than with a water bath.  He advocated all
alkaline processing, with a running water stop and an alkaline fixer. 
Some objected to this procedure.  Suffice it to say that if you're
really interested in this topic, head off to deja news.
