Re: Changing Bags
The changing bag I bought from Adorama in NY, NY a
couple of years ago works great for IR. Like others
have mentioned on this list, it has a double layer
design with two zippers & two elastic arm openings.
The outer layer has rubber coating on the inside and
the inside layer is a polyester/silk like material.(
And at around $20 US dollars it's a lot cheaper than
those pop up tent design changing bags.)
I have NEVER heard of anyone having their IR film fog
when using these types of simple flat rubber lined
bags. (Actually, I heard of one person on the
internet who fogged their IR film, but this was
because he was using a very old bag and the rubber had
begun to flake off of the material.)
I have heard numerous people complain about their
fancy pop up tent (with a million seams) leaking IR
and fogging their film. It's ironic that the
expensive bags seem to have the most problems!
I think the best answer is to buy one of these larger
simple rubber lined changing bags and make your own
pop up tent frame. The fiberglass poles could
probably be purchased at your local camping store.
You'd save money and have a good changing bag at the
same time.
Peace Rolland Elliott
