Konica 750 with an 87 filter will definitely bring out surface
details on stone, and HIE will do even more to bring out things
hidden to the naked eye. Kodak's old manual on Infrared and
Ultraviolet Photography includes some interesting examples, and
I've seen some interesting things in archaeology articles too.
A video camera that does IR comes in handy -- you can take a
look and see what IR will show you that visible light doesn't,
before deciding what pictures to take.
