Pete,

Thank you for the information.  Will ask Bill if he still has your original
post as the information could be useful if as you say a chemist could come
up with a suitable formula based on the original.

The problem with covering any flash bulb in the appropriate holder is the
replacement of the bulb after firing and easily ensuring a light tight seal
around the bulb.  Guess that will be a problem to consider during the
Winter around a log fire whilst sipping on a hot toddy......
