Rodinal will increase the grain definately. I tried rodinal 1+50 before I
got into xtol. 12mins at 20degrees worked for me as far as contrast and
density concerned, but it depends how you exposed it. I generally use 400
asa. But be prepared for grainier negatives than D76. Rodinal is a wonderful
developer but for HIE I would prefer d76 or xtol. BTW why do you send it
out, isn't cheaper to buy chemicals?
