Bob, I have had the same problem on occasion with the ETRS 70mm back. I think it
stems from not seating the front of the magazine solidly when reloading. I
thought I had done that but then discovered that if I pushed the magazine down
onto the front part I would get another small movement and an audible click. I
am assuming that I didn't always get things together as I thought I did. As a
precaution I still put black electrical tape over the dark slide slot and the
joint where the mag joins the body. I can't be sure that helps but it makes me
feel better. Since I have done these two things I haven't had any light struck
film.

I have an Alden loader and tried it and then abandoned it in favor of a
Kindermann. I have to load in the dark but it is easy and will load cassettes as
well as Kindermann 70mm reels. I have had no scratches with this system.
