I hear that... Fortunately I haven't had quite the problems you have.....

No problem, and I'm CC'ing the group.

I sent mine directly to the Bronica repair center (via my local camera
store), and they re-felted and fixed a couple of gears that were worn
down... I went straight for it though and did it before I put the first
frame through it. A "flash" through each frame doesn't sound like a felt
problem though, so I'm not sure what to suggest. Pardon this stupid
question... but I just thought of it and have to ask... You are loading
the back in a changing bag that's known and been tested as safe for HIE??

Yep... been there done that , actually had it happen today as a matter of
fact. It's VERY important that you make sure that you take up ALL the
slack before you put the face onto the back by turning the knob on the
side (I usually do it before I put the side on). Make sure all the slack
is gone and that the sprockets are poking through the holes in the film.
You can also move the larger sprocket a bit to help align things... but
above all, make sure the film is tight and that the pins are poking through
before you close up the back.

Are you using used cartridges?? I'm fairly skeptical of them ever since I
noticed that the two that I originally got with my back had either slimy or
hard and crusty felt on the lip. That hard and crusty stuff would scratch
the heck out of 2424.

Cool! I *Finally* got my 70mm Jobo reels, and will be processing my first
batch tomorrow (I've been taking it to a local pro-lab for processing) .

Cheers,
D.
