It's very simple: With a "normal" red filter like Wratten #25 or #29 I
just set the film speed to ISO 200, meter through the filter and shoot
off. Under normal lighting conditions bracketing is not necessary.
Development is quite easy: I normally use D-76 (stock) at 20°C / 68 °F
for 10,0 min, which is exactly what Ilford recommends. So perhaps their
times for other developers will also work quite well.
