Hi..Calumet makes an excellent peelable varnish for achieving toning effects.
It is red in color so you don't miss a spot.  The only drawback to this is that
if you use a brush to apply it....you need the remover they sell to clean the
brush.  I can't think of the name....but I bought it from Calumet.  I used if
for selective toning and worked wonderfully.  The bottle cost me about twenty
dollars as well.
