Gary,
I've used rubber cement bunches of times. That should work for masking for
most papers. Also the Pebeo masking solution for prints will work very well
but is mucho expensive.
After toning wash the print for several minutes, then with the print still
wet just gently rub or roll the maskoid at the edges until enough has been
loosened to grab an peel off.
Works for me!
BTW, I only use fiber base papers so I can't swear how this may work with RC
but it should work fine, you may have problems with single weight paper tho.
