Richard,
I've (unfortunately) used the EOS 3 with HIE; the edge fogging intrudes well
into the image area, but even worse, there is a small oval hole in the
pressure plate (for a date back feature?) which shows up as an area of less
density on the negs - absolutely impossible to deal with in a darkroom, and
pretty difficult to tackle even on a computer.
For my IR work in 35mm, I use an older EOS 650 body, which uses a physical
advance system.
