I would NEVER put film in checked baggage. In fact, if i can avoid it i
never let them scan my film in hand luggage. Even somewhere as anal as Hong
Kong where everything is by the book and the security guards have no
initiative i managed to convince them to hand check my HIE in a changing
bag! They told me that all film was okay with the new x-ray machines up to
ISO 3200. I then said "what about IR film" That stumped them! They had no
idea what it was so a guard spent 10 minutes opening the cannisters in a
changing bag. Not sure if Israel will accept this??
