Wide angle lenses technically have no effect on exposure for any film. 
Having said this, many people find that their wide angle shots tend to be 
underexposed, partly because they are including much more sky in. This has 
nothing to do with the lens or any photographic effect, but is merely a 
side effect of relying an the camera's light meter for everything.

It all boils down to technique and knowing what to meter.
