Hello Stephen,

The times for XTOL are in the Infrared FAQ (URL in sig. file). Suggest
starting the rating for the film at 100ASA with a Wratten #25 filter and
bracket using a test film.

Try using the development table in the FAQ as a guide to developing times.

The chap representing MACO would appear to have inside knowledge, however
consider that he was spreading rumours about competitors' products :-)

There is no smoke without fire - we know that HSI 4x5 has been discontinued
which may account for the Kodak rumour. As far as Konica is concerned I
called Konica a few weeks ago to ask them about their future plans for
Konica IR 750 film. Eventually a senior management person called me back
to give a typically vague statement - essentially that they had no plans to
discontinue the film, however production decisions are made on a year by
year basis. They would not guarantee that the film would continue to be
available.

I did suggest that I may repeat this information on the IR Mailing list but
that did not seem to bother the management person at all.

So, the bottom line is that you should continue to buy your film regularly
to give the right sort of message back to the manufacturers :-)

All the best,
