An excellent idea if Kodak are indeed thinking about discontinuing HIE.
Have a feeling that this is just an ugly rumour :-)

It would be a good idea to write to Kodak anyway and express your delight
in the use of their Infrared film and thank them for a wonderful product.
You could also buy a few more rolls and pop 'em in the freezer.  Sales
speak louder than words......
