Sorry, Don, it took me so long to reply; I just got back from spring break,
travelling through to NM. Was excited to stop at PhotoEye bookstore, too!
Anyway, I'm not sure at all about the iopener problem with James' computer,
and assume since everyone is NOT having the same problem that somehow my
computer doesn't send to that type. We'll see if this one gets returned or
if it is just with the other alt photo list.
Yes I am familiar with the Marshall Oils as that is all I use to hand
color. I have the largest set, and do not have Air Force Blue. They've made
it since at least 1998 because it is listed in their color chart; it seems
like that typical uniform blue color that you see. I use quite a bit of
serge blue, included in my kit, that is similar but a tad bit warmer
(leaning toward the green) and not as dull as air force. However, I mix a
lot of my paints so I don't much notice what I have and don't have, albeit a
nice denim blue is a must.
I was so excited; on my travels I found two other books on hand
coloring, one I really like: Photo Tinting by Ed Krebs; only $8! It is a
great 'beginner' book. He has great color sense.
