urgent question!

in about five hours i'm getting on an airplane. is IR film any more
sensitive to airport x-ray devices than regular film? the usual thing i
hear is to carry on all your film (which i'm doing) and that only high
speed film (1000+) is really harmed by the airport x-rays.

i'll definitely ask for my high speed film to be hand-checked, and maybe
my 400s and 100s too -- it's all out of the canister in clear baggies. but
with the IR, am i better off asking for hand-checking and then trying to
explain that they cant open the canister, or just letting it go through
the security x-ray?

thanks
m
