Scotch tape = pin holes
- From: Rolland Elliott <liquidriver@xxxxxxxxx>

Scotch tape causes pin holes. If you apply and remove
it to the emulsion side then you will get pinholes on
your negatives. It is probably either due to the
static electricity all scotch tape emits when it is
peeled off a surface or because the tape actually
picks off small pieces of the emuslion. One of these
days I'll get around to testing the reason by applying
and removing scotch tape from both the base and
emulsion sides, it should be a relative easy
experiment.
I know most people think static electricity would
cause dark spots, not pinholes, but empiracle evidence
suggests otherwise.
Perhaps the pin hole solution can be solved by simply
spraying an anti-stactic spray on the backs and
insides of cameras.
Peace Rolland
P.S. My original post was longer, but I had to retype
it because the computer I was using crashed
unexpectedly.
