Canon Eos Cameras?

I have been lurking for a small amount of time. And what I've seen, I just
have to go out and try some Infrared photos, BUT I own the A2E Canon and
most tell me that IR cant be shot with this camera, and some others tell me
that the photo itself is fine, that the only fogging happens on the sproket
holes of the film. Would it be a waist of my time to shoot a roll or two
through this camera, Or should I repair the Pentax K1000s I have and use
them for Infrared?
