there's no IR counter on the F100. only the F80  or N80 has it.

Hello Belén,

Maybe someone on the list with experience of the Nikon F100 can advise as
to any internal infrared mechanisms such as film counters which you should
be aware of possibly fogging the film.

For focussing, you can either use a smaller aperture or nudge the lens to a
very slightly closer focus - see section 14. "Focussing" in the Infrared
FAQ (URL in sig. file) for more information.

If you have to use DX coded film then you can buy DX stickers to attach to
your HIE film canister which should solve the problem for you.  Try using
someone like B&H on the web if you have trouble finding the stickers
locally.
