hi all,

just came across this list and wanted to introduce myself...

I live in L.A....originally hailing from Canada.

been shooting IR film for about 8 years now, discovered it in south america of all places while traveling. Have been in photography for about 20 years and make my living as a special effects animator the last 14.

I have used and abused Kodak's IR film and had some incredible accidents along the way. Took a pile of film on a cross country jaunt through the American south recently...dang hot through the south west.... left it in the truck which was over 100 degrees for a couple of days, gone 10 days total and couldn't keep it cool at all...had no problems...although I wouldn't recommend this as the norm...not my first time doing this either....Perfect negs....!

have fogged my film many times and printed some very eerie pictures as a result...with this film I find you always learn...

i have combined digital and traditional darkroom technics the last couple of years, enjoy both very much....have a great digital darkroom, although I do not use a digital camera....working on my IR photography web site, been published a couple of times and in gallery shows as well.

looking forward to learning more from you all.

cheers
paul
