Jaap,

So far I have had three pieces of feedback for the Infrared FAQ from
users/owners of the Coolpix 990 saying that it is not good for IR
photography. If an owner/user can demonstrate good results with the
990 then we would have a mystery :-)

The 89B filter is the least strong of all the near opaque infrared
filters - many people like to use a completely opaque (to visible
light) 87 or 87C with their digital cameras.

Look forward to hearing more from users.
