Find a place locally that make "instant Signs"... they use a vinyl material 
that's exactly like black electrical tape.  I bought a small sheet from 
them for a couple of bucks, cut it out to fit the plate on my Bronica 70MM 
back, and slapped it on.  No more shadows from the screw holes, and I've 
put many, many rolls through it with no apparent change.
