Have a bit of catching up to do myself - back to find a lot of posts
to read :-)
You can capture some really moody scenes without the need for bright
sunlight. There are a couple of photos in the CoCam Gallery (URL in
sig. file) which have heavy cloud cover but not completely overcast.
You will find that contrast will be lower when shooting on an
overcast day - much the same as normal film. This can be an
advantage when using inherently high contrast films such as Konica IR
750. It also makes the photos easier to print.
So, go ahead and experiment - you can obtain some wonderful
gradations in cloud with infrared film - take a look at the sky in
the Clifton Suspension Bridge photo in the CoCam Gallery.
