Re: polarizer?
Paul,
Normally, when one uses "filter factors" with more than one filter, the
factors are multiplied to reach a final "factor" value.
One uses the "addition" method when using the light absorbtion value as
"stops". I normally regard the polariser as having a "stop" value of 1 and
1/3 and the 25 red (when added to a polariser) as 2.
By "my way of working" this adds up to 3 and 1/3 stops which is much
different from your result of 5 "stops".
