Jessie, I agree with Colin.  I taught myself photography with a K1000 and 
still use it for my IR work.  I shoot almost everything else with a Pentax 
ZX-5.  Pentax makes excellent lens and my ZX-5 can use every lens I have 
ever aquired for my K1000.  Besides the control achieved with a manual is 
great.  With IR, I just do not like to use automation.

All my IR photos have been done with Konica and I have never experienced a 
problem related to the camera.  I plan to use test the dimpled pressure 
plate with Kodak HIE because I will only believe there is a problem if and 
only if I experience it.
