Thanks again for replying Jaap,
The reason I am looking into Ilford SFX, and not Kodak HIE right now, is that
HIE is not available in 120. I have been contemplating the purchase of a B&W
092 as my understanding was that this would give the most "Infra Red like"
results - more so than a Wratten 25 or 29 would. The problem is that it sells
new here in the U.S. (B&H) for USD $90 in the 58mm size that I would need to
fit all my cameras using step up rings. Does anybody on the list have a less
expensive source? The Tiffen equivalent was few dollars more, I think.
I do not shoot with SLR's in medium format, so the filter blocking my view is
not a problem. I use Rollei TLR's mostly and also a Mamiya 7 and a 4x5 with a
6x9cm roll film back.
What about Macophot? This is available here in the U.S. in 120. How does it
compare with SLX or HIE?
Your time and temp with Xtol 1:1 does give me some idea of where to start my
testing. Thanks again!-Fred
