Fred,

CoCam sells it's own Cokin "P" sized infrared filters - this may be
a better solution for your multiple camera/lens combinations. I do
have a commercial interest here as I am CoCam :-)

The CoCam filters are available through the CoCam web site (URL in sig. file).

There is a lot of information on SFX, MACO, and HIE film in the
Infrared FAQ (same sig. file URL). The MACO film will be much better
than SFX in terms of an infrared "look and feel". The MACO film has
an anti-halation layer so will not give the halo highlights of HIE.
MACO film also has a much finer grain than HIE.
