Hello Fred and welcome to the list.

I guess you have already found the Infrared FAQ on the CoCam web site 
(http://www.cocam.co.uk).  There is a lot of information there about 
SFX and use of various developers (currently 19 different types) but 
not xtol. I guess this is because xtol is either an unusual choice 
for SFX or that it is not recommended.

You may want to check the dev. times recommended for xtol with other 
films and abstract for SFX.  Alternatively you could use another 
developer, however I do appreciate that if you have found a developer 
that you particularly like then you would like to keep using it :-)
