If memory serves, it took Kodak about 6-10 months
before the current Aerochrome
II 2443 was made available in 35mm 36 exposure
canisters. Perhaps they'll do
the same with this new color infrared film
After perusing the Kodak PDF file on this new film, I
noticed that it can be
produce either transparencies or negatives depending
on the chemicals used to
process it. If you need CIR transparencies, process
this film in AR-5; if you
want CIR negatives, you process it in C-41. Pretty
nifty.

Why would you? In my opinion, the whole appeal of EIR
as opposed to
HIE is the mix of natural and shifted colors. If you
only want IR,
why not just stick to HIE?

Subject: 150' HIE
Hello,
Does anyone here know the diameter of a 150' roll of
35mm HIE. I want
to know before I purchase a roll and find out that it
will not fit into
my bulk loader!
I wonder what the minilabs would do with color IR negs
when
the auto color balance tries to correct?
I do like the idea of color IR negs.
