When processing Kodak HIE, I have a difficult time spooling
the film onto plastic reels. (I don't have a problem with
other films, just HIE). I get about half of the roll spooled
and it simply will not go any further. I do try to trim the
end off round to facilitate the spooling. I have not tried
stainless steel reels because in the past I had problems
with them and regular film, but had the best results with
the plastic reels.

My reels don't have a manufacturers name, but they were made
in Honk Kong. I have just purchased Paterson reels and see
that my older reels are a rip-off copy. I haven't tried the
Paterson's yet.
