Light Spillage

Subject: RE:
Hello all,
Has anyone used a Nikon F90X (N90S) with the Kodak HIE film? I developed my
first roll last night in Rodinal and the resulting negatives look quite
different to my normal negatives, with some areas of light "spilling"
outside the film frame.
Thanks,
Greg

I have used an F90 with HIE with no problems and AFAIK the F90-X is
physically the same. I suspect the spillage you refer to is a result
of halation, assuming it is a small amount of spillage from bright
areas near the edge of the exposed frame onto the frame around it.
This is one of the characteristics of HIE as it has no anti-halation
layer to stop this. Part of its charm you might say.
Regards
Andy
