To be more specific, it was sniped by a dealer, with
one second on the clock. I had contacted the seller
(with whom I had dealt in the past) about the camera,
and he told me "this one has a REAL USER exterior!"
That's why the reserve was only $1,250. Still, it was
probably a steal at that price. I'm very curious to
see what price is put on it by the dealer in question.
He has a baby Rolleidoscop on his web page for $2,750
(wasn't it even higher recently??), and one of those
sold on e-bay for $1,082; does that mean he'll be
asking over $3,000 for this camera? ;-)
Had it not been sniped, I would have gladly picked it
up from the seller for the reserve price and held it
to get it into the hands of an MF3D *shooter,* at some
minimal markup.
The seller, BTW, says it was only the second or third
Rolleidoscop he's come across in 10 years.
