I got my Sputnik on Ebay from Beijing. They wrapped everything in
a plastic bag, suspended that in a cardboard box and filled the
rest of the box with some solidifying liquid foam which became
quite hard. I had to rip the cardboard away from the foam which
was sticking to it, then gingerly trim away the foam with a knife.
The whole process of unwrapping took me over a half hour. But
there wasn't a scratch or a rattle or anything else bad.
