I think sleeves are for protection only. They are good for that,
but I always take them out of the sleeve to view them.

I was posed with the same problem when I wanted to store my
minimal collection of MF slides. At that time I just happened
to have taken some regular print photos for a client and when
I do so, I always put the prints into an inexpensive album
with a title print. It includes the date and such. Anyway,
cheap albums come with a bijillion extra pages and I take them
out when I deliver the package. So, I had some extra pages
hanging around. They looked about right and I tried one to
see how it fit the MF prints. Perfect. The pages I bought
are 5 3/4" x 11 3/4" and have 3 pockets that fit 3 1/2 x 5
prints. At first I took a hot needle and melted the
page a little bit on the outside edge to keep the slides
from falling out that way. But with time the seals broke
away. Now I just wrap a piece of magic transparency tape
around the edge and it does just fine. The pages are 3-hole
punched to fit in the binder and the binding rings keep
the slides from slipping into the "gutter".
When you want to look at the slides you open the binder,
hold the page up to the light to find the slides you want,
and take them out from the gutter side. Works great.
