I have a viewer: UNIS-FRANCE that has an interoccular adjust, and fit
Greg Erkers slides
perfectly! The result was that some of his slides viewed spectacularly
well in it. The Fireworks,
and the snowy country lane were stand-outs. This viewer was probably
made sometime between
1900 and 1940 or so?... Excellent optics! The lenses look to be about
40mm or more in diameter.

I have not shot any "action" photos yet (unless an acorn happened to be
falling out of a tree!)
so have not had to worry about that... So other than a basketball game, I
don't think shutters
have any bearing at all... My impression of the 24mm and 28mm images in
stereo were
that I liked them better (except that under some instances a building edge
might have too much
curve, etc... But the 'impact' of the 24mm and 28mm wides more than make up
for this. Have
you noticed lately how most commercials and add photography seem to be shot
using a LOT
of wide angle lenses? Finally, yes -I agree, butt to butt cameras line up
perfectly at the
tripod sockets... a 1/4" thread screw connects them fine...
