MF is a category rather than a specific size.  Are most
"Realist format" images almost square?

MF cameras come in various image shapes: 6x6, 645, 6x7, 6x9,
for example.  RMM carries four sizes of mounts for MF images:
square, landscape, portrait, and panoramic.  A square film
chip may become a square format image, or it may be cropped
to 645 or panoramic.

Shooters working with non-square formats and mounting in
separate mounts may have even more options.
