So am I the only one here who didn't know who Fargo is? ;-)
In case there is anyone else in the dark, apparently this
is who Elliott and Joel were talking about:
| Fargo Enterprises, Inc.
| P.O. Box 6505
| Vacaville, CA 95696-6505
| Phone: 707.446.1120
| Fax: 707.446.3319
| Your Audio-Visual, Photographic and Video Repair Tool Source.
On-line store: http://www.micro-tools.com
(note, if you leave off the www on this one, you end up
at fargo-ent.com instead of www.micro-tools.com)
I found in a newsgroup a complaint that the foam from
Fargo was too dense. And I see in the .pdf catalog I
downloaded that they now carry an imported version that
is less dense. It looks like this will be a nice step
up from black yarn for the kit and the fix up service.
(Joel, do you know which you have? Domestic or imported?)
What I had actually asked about was something better
than velveteen for blocking the light that gets through
the hinges of the doors. I don't think the foam is the
answer. But, I DID see something in the Fargo catalog
that looks promising. I'll check it out.
Now why is Fargo, their foam, etc., not mentioned on
anyone's Sputnik fix-up page? Here I've been going off
in all these wrong directions! ;-)
Anyway, glad to have the good new info. Thanks!!
