More Great Shots
I just had a look at loop 5b/6b and as usual I was inspired. As a
consequence of NOT seeing any new folios for almost a whole year, I'm sad
to say I have little new to pass on. But now the creative juices are
hopefully flowing, maybe I'll have some stuff for the next one!
Regarding this round I'm both impressed and appalled. There were some real
stand-outs here, especially Bob Clark's work. Greg's shot of his
all-too-neat (!) office made me think that there may be stereo possiblities
at the workplace, which I'll give a try at. I also noticed that there
seemed to be a trend of Sputnik shots being overexposed. Could this be from
internal reflections or shutter/apterture inaccuracies? If this is indeed
consistant, perhaps there should be a note for all Spud newbies to
underexpose their shots by 1/2 to 1 stop to compensate.
What's up with the web page? I went to post comments on 5B but got
jibberist text with Netscape. I don't know who did shots #17 and #18, but
they should be hung up by their camera strap! No notes, no identification,
just numbers. But the main concern was that I almost destroyed one the them
because the mount was not sealed, just folded over, and just two thin
strips of scotch tape holding the chips on. The worst part is that the
images themselves are spectacular!!!!
Come on guys, you should be proud of your creations!
