Sputnik springs

  I took a look at my Spud last night.
The takeup spring is definitely outside
the spool (the opposite of Robert's
drawing).

  In fact, mine is flattened so much
it doesn't contact the spool when
it's empty.

  By the time you have a full roll
on their (after shooting it) it does
make contact and prevents any nasty
sproing when you open the back doors.
