Hi Lattie,

  How hard is the advance knob to turn when
there is no film in it?

  The other possibility is that you loaded the
film wrong. It is possible to get it wrong relative
to the springy metal pieces that keep the film
from unravelling. Sam mentioned (way back) about
having the paper shred from misloading it.

  I haven't played with my Sputnik recently (my
brother has it) but I think you want to compress
the springs towards the front of the camera
when loading the film. Joel and other's, correct
me if I'm wrong.
