No more than the rest of it really. Some Exactas, Mentors and most early
SLRs use the mirror box as a light baffle. Triggering the shutter by the
action of the mirror coming up is pretty simple. The only big disadvantage
I see is having to stop the lenses down before exposure, unless you can
incorporate a stop-down mechanism as well. The bottom line is that if
you're merely bastardizing existing cameras anyway and NOT building a
camera from raw metal and glass stock, the sky's the limit as to what is
available to salvage. Time, money and patience are the other variables!
