I'd love to disassemble an ME Super shutter
to see if my idea is at all feasible. Do you
mind sending me one? I suspect the complexity
and problem prone-ness is in the flex circuit
board and electronics which I wouldn't plan
to use. The shutter and electromagnets are
(I hope) more reliable and still working I'd
hope.
How much would copal square shutters cost
and is it feasible to link two of them?
With a true focal plane shutter you could
perhaps make a DLR camera and just use a
lever (with interlock) to raise the mirror
before taking the photo. Manually stopping
down would probably be okay (I'd only forget
25% of the time :)
Thanks - Greg
