[MF3D.FORUM:1316] Camera "knob" - multi-purpose!

The large size of the Sputnik tripod socket has always
been a nuisance. A small bushing easily adapts it for
use with U.S. standard 1/4-20 tripod bolts, but then
you can no longer attach the case with the camera "knob"
that comes with the Sputnik. (The camera "knob" is the
small bolt that screws into a tripod socket, and also
has its own tripod socket in its oversize base.)
Problem solved!
I now have a supply of short-shaft 1/4-20 camera knobs
to replace the larger size camera knob that comes with
the Sputnik case. They are only $5 each ($7 if you
also need the bushing).

But wait, that's not all! This amazing camera knob has
another great potential use. :-)
A modest hack to your SaturnSlide(tm) viewer will allow
you to easily convert it for use on a tripod! Pretty nifty,
eh? ;-)
It may be best to just request one when ordering something
else to avoid paying a couple bucks shipping on such a low
cost item, but if you really need one of these camera knobs,
just let me know.
