I am sorry you find this disturbing and elitist - to understand how the
American Branch of the Stereoscopic Society (of GB) evolved into a
separate entity within the folds of NSA, a little history is necessary -
history which I can't recall well enough to relate with confidence.  As
you've raised the question, I will try to find out the answer.  Stay
